The syllabus will be based around a 6 part cinematic audio series called A Ghost's Guide To London 🇬🇧👻. The audio follows a ghost, Lord Jeffery, who will guide us around famous places in London 👣. The audio is a mix between narration and storytelling from Lord Jeffery and conversations between him and different people around London, e.g. a taxi driver, a shop keeper and a landlord. The episodes contain lots of common colloquial expressions and we will do personalised speaking tasks 🗣️ to practise these expressions ourselves. The course will include: - Small talk. - Learning and practising common everyday colloquial expressions, vocabulary, idioms and slang. - Group speaking tasks. - Personalised speaking tasks. - Speaking games. - Discussions and debates. - Practice retelling stories. - Learning and practising telling anecdotes. - Pronunciation activities. - Presentations. - British accents. - Research activities. - Listening and reading activities. - British culture. - Personalised feedback.
